Resume

Jana Rühl, born 1983 in Kassel, Germany, studied Biochemical Engineering (BIW) from 2002 to 2007 at the Technische Universität of Dortmund, Germany. During her diploma thesis she worked in the field of Metabolic Engineering in the Systems Biology group of Dr. L. M. Blank at the Laboratory of Chemical Biotechnology of Prof. Andreas Schmid at the Technische Universität Dortmund. Jana Rühl won the 2007 BIW student award for best graduate. She is currently a PhD stipendiary of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt in the systems Biotechnology group working on microbiological production of a 2nd generation biofuel.
